Sr. Helen has been a member of the international congregation of Our Lady of the Retreat in the Cenacle aka: Cenacle Sisters for over 25 years. She shares in the ministry of the congregation to make Jesus known and loved through a variety of services. Sr. Helen has been trained in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola as welll as diverse schools of prayer. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state os New Jersey and a trainor of the Biospiritual Focusing Process. Sr. Helen is a member of the Spiritual Directors International, the Biospiritual Focusing Research Center and the National Association of Social Workers.

Sr. Helen has been involved in various pastoral ministries. She offers days and evenings of prayer/reflection as well as retreats. Some of the topics that she has presented on are women and prayer, 12 step care, reflections for caregivers which includes hospice care, the mystics, finding the spiritual messages in contemporary film etc.

She offers an annual retreat known as "Women, God and Prayer" each year during Lent and another called "Touch of God on our Inward Spirit" just before autumn (this is for those familiar with the focusing process). These retreats open on Friday evening and close on Sunday afternoon. She is also directing retreats and offering programs at various centers in New Jersey. She hopes to renew the Biospiritual Companioning Meeting within this year.

Sr. Helen also offers Spiritual Direction in the northern New Jersey area of Chatham.

The Cenacle Companions are another form of membership in the Cenacle and meet once a month in New Jersey with Sr. Helen as their Liason. The Cenacle Companions are a group of lay women and men who have already/ or are discerning a call within themselves to live their daily lives with the guidance of Cenacle Spiritualtiy. The times of meeting are for forming a sense of the Upper Room community and ongoing formation in the learning and understanding of this spirituality as lived in its variety of forms in each individual.
